Parachute design in 3rd and 4th

For this years Science Week had great fun in 3rd and 4th designing and building a parachute. The design brief was the same for every group . using a recycled sandwich bag and 1m of twine construct a gravity defying parachute that can hold two unifix cubes and carry them slowly to the floor from a common height. We had to measure and cut our string measure the drop height, record using a stop watch the falling times to declare a winner.
