Active School Flag

Active School Flag (ASF) is a Department of Education and Skills initiative supported by Healthy Ireland, and part of the National Physical Activity Plan.

The ASF initiative provides schools with a framework to guide, support and incentivise them to work towards achieving a physically educated and physically active school community.

Once awarded, ASF remains valid for a period of 3 years.

Ardagh NS has always placed a huge emphasis on the importance of having active and engaged learners. We are a sports loving school from an area steeped in the GAA, Soccer and Athletics to name but a few.

We have decided that every year to make a collective push to become even more active! We know if we can all work together to increase our physical activity not alone will we feel better and learn better but we will hopefully renew our coveted Active School Flag.

Check out our Blog and X account to see photos and reports of all this activity and fun.
