Enrolment in Ardagh NS

 

Ardagh NS (formerly SN Tighearnáin Naofa) is a friendly and welcoming  school. Our priority is to provide our pupils with  the best  possible opportunities to learn, in a safe, caring and  nurturing environment.

Placing a emphasis on the holistic development  of  those  we teach, we strive to facilitate a broad range of differentiated learning experiences that are both effective and engaging. As a proud Catholic school  we have strong ties to our parish and the wider Ardagh community.  For these reasons we can say with confidence that although all our pupils are not from our immediate locality, everyone who attends Ardagh NS finds friendship and support that extends beyond our school gate. In fact it is our hope that rather than simply attending our school   pupils will feel genuinely part of our school community.

This year we welcomed our neighbours in Rathnamagh across to our school as part of our amalgamation. Our new school  has  almost doubled our staffing numbers resulting in a pupil/teacher ratio  that is way below the  national average. We hope that this now means that we can  provide even more highly effective opportunities for learning for every child in every class.

Usually we hold an Open Day for prospective Junior Infants and their parents in early June.
